Always keep your important papers together, readily available in a safe place, and up-to-date. These include, but are not limited to, such items as:
-Passports
-ID Cards
-Medical and Health Records
-Immunization Register
-Birth Certificate
-Powers of Attorney
-Wills
-Marriage Certificate
-Bank Books and Bond Receipts
-Stock Certificates
-Auto Registrations and Titles
-Insurance Policies
-Personal Property Inventory
-Identification Tags
-U.S. Currency
-6 Passport-type photos of each individual

Have an up-to-date inventory of all your personal property and household goods with appraised values. This would be invaluable in the event you had to file a claim for loss. Keep one copy here and another on file at some other location, preferably at your U.S. home
